A kitchen renovation should improve functionality, storage, the safety of building services and the quality of the finishes. The kitchen is one of the most technically demanding rooms in a home, combining plumbing, electrical systems, ventilation, fitted cabinetry, countertops, lighting and appliances.
At MILOBRAS, we usually integrate kitchen renovation into complete home renovations or larger coordinated projects. Before work begins, we assess measurements, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, ventilation, flooring, wall coverings, circulation and how the room will be used.
When the kitchen forms part of a complete renovation, we plan its layout in relation to the rest of the property. The connection to the living room, circulation, flooring, lighting, storage and materials must work coherently throughout the home.
This integration avoids isolated solutions and helps to create a more functional, cohesive home that is better suited for everyday use.
Planning begins with a practical assessment of the existing kitchen. We check the countertop, sink position, cooking area, refrigerator location, ventilation, lighting, electrical outlets and clearance for doors and drawers. We then define the work sequence so that each trade can proceed at the correct stage.
We also coordinate demolition, plumbing, electrical work, gas, tiling, carpentry, countertops, painting and final cleaning. In occupied buildings, we pay particular attention to material deliveries, debris removal and protection of common areas.
Kitchen updates are appropriate when the room has a sound, reusable base but needs improvements in appearance, comfort and functionality. The work may include new cabinet fronts, countertops, handles, faucets, sinks, wall coverings, flooring, lighting and paint.
More extensive rehabilitation is required when technical problems cannot be resolved by simply replacing the cabinetry. Before applying final finishes, we address damp, aging plumbing, inadequate electrical wiring, poor ventilation, deteriorated walls and damaged flooring.
Kitchen renovation requires close coordination between plumbing, electrical work, gas, carpentry, stonework, tiling, painting and appliance installation. When this sequence is poorly managed, delays, adaptations and additional costs can arise.
MILOBRAS monitors each stage to ensure the next team finds the space in the right condition. We also pay attention to cleanliness, protecting common areas, and communicating with the client.
