Interior Renovation
Interior renovation brings a home closer to the way its occupants live. At MILOBRAS, we plan and carry out this work exclusively within complete apartment and house renovations, combining better use of space with choices that suit the family’s everyday needs.
For the complete renovation, we agree the layout and finishes before the construction stages that depend on those choices.
Interiors Integrated into a Complete Renovation
A connected interior does not require the same finish in every room. We look for a balanced relationship between colour, texture and light, while allowing each space to have its own purpose and character.
Interiors for Apartments, Houses and Older Properties
In apartments, we make the most of the available floor area and improve connections between rooms. In houses and older properties, we also consider the building’s condition and its relationship with outdoor spaces.
Where older features can be restored, we consider how to integrate them into the renovation. Older property restoration helps retain the property’s character alongside improvements to comfort.
Interior Rehabilitation and Restoration
Interior rehabilitation starts with an assessment of the space. We identify damaged surfaces, damp or outdated building services to establish what needs repair before introducing new materials.
We first address defects that could compromise new materials. Surface preparation and finishing follow, keeping problems from reappearing beneath completed work.
Planning, Materials and Finishes
When planning an interior renovation, we compare finishes for durability, ease of cleaning and appearance under each room’s lighting. We assess samples alongside nearby doors, furniture and surfaces.
Dimensions and junctions between materials also need checking. We plan any adjustments to floor heights, furniture positions and door clearances before installation.
Examples of renovated interiors
In our complete renovations, we coordinate the work across the whole home. These projects show how room layouts and finishes work together in different properties:
- For the renovation of T3+T1 apartments in Oeiras, two properties became a single home with a new interior layout, design and decoration.
- As part of the renovation of a T3 apartment in Cascais, we combined iron-and-glass internal doors with a grey kitchen and wood-effect ceramic flooring.
- During the renovation of a T1 apartment in Benfica, we reorganised the rooms and incorporated the kitchen into the living and dining area.
